Materials:
- shock and pressure resistant nylon coated EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) polymer
- outer shell 600 Polyester
- inner shell soft 90 Polyester
Construction:
- 2 shell construction mould
- lower shell - preshaped for wheels up to 28"/700°C
- upper shell - preshaped for frame incl. 3 adjustable fasting straps for safe fixation
- closing via locking zip (Nr. 10) and three large Velcro adjustable belts with buckles
Transportation/Security:
- Large handle for comfortable pulling
- 2x40mm replaceable smooth rolling thermo rubber inline-skate wheels with bearings
- extra safety bashguard sliders at bottom
- 3 digit number combination padlock and address holder
- 30mm foam sheet supplied
Basic Packing Method:
Remove wheels, handlebar and pedals. Place rear wheel into deepest insert, place front wheel in other. Place frame on other side, with fork at highest end, turn handlebar sideways to fit. A picture showing a packed bike is shown on this page.
Total Protection Method
In addition to above you can:
* wrap the frame tube with pipe lagging or similar to prevent scratching
* wrap front cogset
* remove and wrap rear derailleur
* use cheap skewers in transit - as these are the 2 contact points affected by rough baggage handling.
* remove and remove seatpost
* use sheets of foam or clothing for extra padding - one sheet supplied
* for extra protection for your wheels pack in single wheels bags.
