With its medium-height tread, the Ardent Race bridges the gap between the XC oriented Ikon and the trail oriented Ardent. The center knobs are ramped to reduce rolling resistance, and the side knobs are angled and stepped to provide great biting traction in corners.

Features a hard base layer combined with softer outer layers to optimise traction and extend tread life.

EXO Technology
An extremely cut resistant and abrasion resistant material added to the sidewalls of select mountain bike tyres. This densely woven material is also lightweight and highly flexible, ensuring that the performance of the tire remains unaffected.

Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tubeless tyres provide the rider with many benefits: the ability to run lower air pressures, which improves traction; lower rolling resistance when compared to a tube type tyre; and less chance of flatting since there is no tube. Maxxis Tubeless Ready (TR) tyres provide the benefits of a UST tubeless tyre without the weight penalty. The square bead profile of our TR tyres is designed to work with the broad range of tubeless rims available on the market today. Our TR tyres use a special construction which allows the use of liquid sealants to make them airtight and to help prevent punctures. If needed, Maxxis TR tyres can also be used with an inner tube.
